It's now September and I really wish time would slow down. Feels like my kids just got out of school for summer and now they have been back IN school for two weeks.

On another note, fuck ADHD. The only reason I had the stamina to learn porn animation was because sex was the only thing that gave me happy chemicals. My entire life outside of posting orcs fucking elves is a mostly joyless, static existence. It gets worse as I age too.

Terrible month. Trying to just get my bearings again as a living person after personal health scares and my brother almost dying. Can't even enjoy my comfort of posting updates because gamedev has staled a bit and the few things I have experimented with would make most of you probably hate me.

When you need more flexibility with how to organize animations without 2000 different project files so you just make your own internal packaging system. Each layer acts is it's own rig retargeting to a master rig through a reference, much easier to scale.

Taking a week off dev work because I feel so burned out. I need to cool down so I can work on it again, refreshed.

It's low key, but I like my victories. Refactored down my entire character load logic and encapsulated into an actor component. 90% less logic. Here is an example of me using the new system to quickly build and easily load my characters into a thumbnail generating actor.

So one thing I have considered is a lust system. Concept is bare right now but as action happens over time certain small things change, like skin blush and expression. Sped up for the video.

Ended up rewritting the speak system, removing around 80% of the code. New system has built-in subtitles and can scale, allowing longer chains. Sivana also leveled up her sass a bit.

Just letting you all know, I got in a car accident this week. Luckily I was not seriously hurt, but I am still recovering a bit from the event, some physically, but mostly mentally.

Part of me wants to make a tutorial series. There are tons of tutorials for Unreal, but zero designed for someone who might want to make an adult game. Only reason I don't think I will is I barely have enough time to even work on it, let alone record and talk about it.

The worst feeling in the world is spending ages working out a solution to something, then a month goes by and you need that solution again but you don't remember how you did it so you have to start over researching again.

So I have been thinking of more characters to convert from my old ocs. Definitely going to do some of the orc girls, even though it be tough. Anyone else have suggestions?

So little fact, but this was my last wow animation I ever did, and it was years after the scare. I was getting out major aggression on my old OCs. Made 50 mini-anims of my OCs in terrible situations before I got strong enough to say goodbye and stored them in my attic.

Why do I keep seeing people talk about Ghibli art styles so much right now?

Dev: Been itching to animate again so I am going to try and just animate new stuff for a bit. Reverse Congress was a must have for me, so I am testing out a quick WIP. As an aside, I added a little more texture to the skin too.

So I am experimenting with how many voice quotes I am okay with in my banter data set. Generating is easy, but if I ever plan to go to actual VA that can be a hell of a project to update. Do you think 2 per type is too repetitive? Maybe 3?

Dev : Adjusted my speech systems a bit by adding a new branch for instances when one actor or another is going down, so other actors will know about it and can comment. Also goofing around with allowing speech between clone characters, like Mortal Kombat loading scenes. Been fun.

Back in my bed. Going to have a nice sleep and then try to work on things tomorrow. It was a nice vacation but I am itching to restart my hobbies.

Amazing how much of a noob I was just a year ago. This was my code I used for spawning in sex scenes. Many of you may not know what half this shit does, just know it was a complicated mass of work arounds. It didn't even do all I wanted, like limited spawns to prevent spamming scenes.

Chaos Build (March) on Patreon. The first of my chaos builds is up on Patreon. These are a new type of build that can be buggy, but will let me post more often without getting hung up on perfection. Sorry it took so long though to realize that hiding myself away was not getting me anywhere good.

Know been a bit silent but I will be posting again soon. It's just hard to get hyper-focused on social media these days when I have so many other things I want to experiment with.

I really need to start advertising myself again, but I don't know, I feel like I have slowly been turning into a crazy old hermit. Think part of the issue is I want to make official promo stuff but can never focus enough to actually do it.

One of the shittiest things about ADHD is this feeling of being trapped inside yourself. Like, you know you need to get something done, you remind yourself constantly, but then you sit down to do it and it's like you get hijacked. Not even the anxiety of deadlines help anymore. Pure auto-pilot.

Dev: So ended up revamping the speaking system. Old version, hit V, girl speaks. Sound file attached to character data asset. New version, hit V, randomly picks man or woman to start, quick two way convo. Sound file attached to data table that pulls dynamically based on character combo.

Optimization has gone well. There are still a few things I want to optimize more but the majority of code and assets isn't nearly as bloated. Sadly unless I take the next day off or work untill I kill myself I probably won't have the new build done till January. Meh.

Dev: This was the main reason for the smoothing. Updates to the menu were jarring using the old method but look great using the new one. Menu still WIP and needs more tweaks.

Dev: Small test of further updates to the gazing system + added for male. Old code a bit too "locked on", so I added a smoothing method that smooths out the movement. Enjoy leaving it partially on, since it makes them always semi-face the camera.

Did I mention I totally fucked up my project? Broke it to pieces. Didn't have a recent backup either uh-oh. Don't panic. A week ago I made a copy to try out 5.5, and it still works. So I only lost around a week of work and have to use 5.5 but better then alternative. Always backup.

My long time tradition on my birthday is to go out and have sushi with my family. Tried out a new place that opened up recently, and it didn't disappoint. 🎉 Now that the birthday wishes are done, it's time to think about news years resolutions.

Kind of desperate to release a build before the end of the year but the stuff I need to get done to make it happen makes me freeze and so I work on other stuff instead week after week. Someday maybe I will stop panicking.

One thing I have come to learn about ADHD, it makes it very hard to actually watch tutorials on anything. It could be only ten minutes, but I skip through the timeline in 1 minute intervals hoping I randomly land on the info I need or I move on. Why you like this brain.

Tried to setup source control for the first time ever and it made me realize how absolutely stupidly packed with junk my project is. Might have to do some early spring cleaning or this is never going to package at a good size ever again.

Been wanting to develop a method to unlock things, made a function that can be attached to either a static actor or animated actor that unlocks characters or animation. Still deciding what I want the final process to be but having the functions done means I can really use it anywhere.

Might start posting up some of my old stuff here to archive it. Wonder if I should just do it here or make a second account like I did with Twitter. Decisions.

Tip - If your body model utilizes two textures and UVs, like my male model, don't be like old me and recolor every penis texture per material. Instead, be like wiser me, and simply make a copy of the body parameter, pick a super small mipmap, and multiply it. Auto recoloring.

Been trying to be more productive then usual. Last week I did some new animations.

Just to let people know, had a death in my family this weekend that hurts deeply. Will be focusing on my wife and kids for the next week so probably no game updates till things settle down. Until then just trying to relax when I can with video games and other stuff. It's been a rough.

Just learned about the feed options you can customize and loving it. Added the ability to see what mutuals are doing and has been great.

Really wish social media would add a weight system. I like following people, but I also have people I like to follow more then others, and often those people get drowned out after awhile. Weights could fix that by prioritizing new updates from certain people on your feed.

Would people be interested in seeing a little bit of the back end of the development? Feel like this place is a fresh start so would love to try something new.

Dev Log : Improved the scene mover, even added other actors to the list, like torches.

Can someone help me understand labels? Obviously some of my posts were automatically marked for NSFW, but feels like others that should be NSFW never labeled. Can one manually label?
