Holo, a corgi who just doesn't understand how to bed

Found out today I'll be running WHAT THE CAR? for Preventathon 6 on Nov 7 around 5:45pm PDT...or <15hrs before starting my annual 25+hrs Extra Life marathon. Will make for a fun and exciting long weekend (Nov 7-9) of raising $ for important causes for kids!

It was a very snakey day for walking. Saw a half dozen scaley friends sunning themselves on the trails. Rare to get one to pose and hold still for a good pic

Ends up the guy in the butcher block at the local Fred Meyer decided to cube and marinate (kalbi) the flank steak I bought🫠 This is the weirdest (and saddest) thing I've ever grilled. One decision was good...the other is a certifiable food crime

Practicing for an event speedrun tonight and managed my first BSoD during a stream in years. Im sure that can't be a sign of how things will go tonight 😅

Recently started Silksong. After playing (the criminally underrated) Blade Chimera (with the best fast travel in any metroidvania) I am not sorry to say I'm using mods. Namely "fast travel to any bench" and "restart boss fight in boss room on death". Given the chance, I can't not play this way

I like this image because it is a constant reminder. We should discuss the legacies people leave behind. What did they do when they were alive. Did they help or hurt people? Just because someone is dead doesn't make them suddenly immune to criticism because it's "disrespectful" or something.

Got up at 4am today to get an early start cooking a big dinner for family, which can only mean one thing - barbecue is on the menu! Haven't done a proper barbecue for a while and does it ever feel good to get back to it!

Was hoping to stream today, but have an injury that sounds incredibly silly when said out loud (involves my thumb and a 🦞...no joke and I live in PNW), so I decided instead to call my parents to see how they are doing. Hopefully stream some more optimization runs of Leila tomorrow or Wednesday

Decided to learn a new speedrun. After spending the start of the year learning 1/month then slacking, it's about time I got to a new one. Need to record a baseline run and request a board at SRC - I meant a "new" speedrun. Kind of excited to debut this one since the game resonated with me

Just saw there's a corgi beach day not too far from home in 2 weeks, just 2 days before Holo's 1st bday. Guess who are now booked for that weekend!

Played "and Roger" which answers the question of what would happen if you stretched the emotional punch of the 1st 10 min of Up into a 60 min game. Seriously, it's such an amazing and powerful experience. Don't know if I'll play again but really glad to have experienced it once

Was hoping to end my vacation from speedrun streaming today. Was hoping to have had some good sleep. Was hoping my neighbors would stop with the fireworks after the 4th. I had a lot of hopes and strangely they are all tied together. Hopefull later this week I'll come back to streaming

Iroh's in a thundershirt losing his mind, Holo is trying to comfort him, and both humans are sleep deprived because my neighborhood's been firing off fireworks for four days already. This is my time of year to be a cranky old man and yell about the world going to hell in a handbasket or something...

A family of robins has set up residence under my deck. Nature is awesome!

It's been four years since Iroh's gotcha day. Wouldn't trade his drama for anything. Also it's been four years since my first speedrun event run (LOVE 2 at First Fasts). June 25th 2021 was a really great day!

Doggo beach vacation!

Never seen them before in my region, but i got tiny smol bats! They are so cute! Not the best video since it's hard to capture them in flight but they are awesome!

Had a super sweet older lost golden Labrador come to my front door today. Was able to find their owner and hang out with the nicest of doggos while waiting for their owner to come pick them up. This is a good day!

Finished my The King's Dungeon run a couple minutes under estimate and then went outside on a sunny June evening to fire up the grill to make dinner. Really couldn't ask for much more right now
