Maybe its because I'm a corgi dad, but My Little Puppy may be one of my favorite games I've played that it feels like no one knows exists. Nothing too difficult or unique on it's own, but it does all it sets out to do, remains fun, has joyful silliness, and the emotions feel genuine

Finally finished DQ1&2 HD-2D. Loved the trilogy for the most part, but the grinding needed for the best ending honestly felt forced, even for a DQ game. Between bad end and good end needed dozens of levels to accomplish but with only two more dungeons (one was a remix) it felt like excess padding

Streamed on my Twitch channel for the first time in 2 months. Focused on casual playing of lower stress games. Had a lot of fun. Played about 80% (per chapter count) of My Little Puppy and will likely finish next stream (Friday?). Even felt the speedrun bug biting at me on this one...

Today I did a 4.5mile 30lb ruck, some upper body weights, a few long overdue chores, installed a new weather station, and will now play some Dragon Quest 2 with a cup or three of good coffee. Honestly couldn't ask for much more for the last day of vacation

For 2026 I've decided to take up rucking. Currently at 30lbs at about 4.2miles in 1hr 15min. My muscles, especially my traps, are sore (in a good way) but I'm loving it and the process. Excited to continue to up my fitness game this year

Just finished Constance. Obviously inspired by Hollow Knight. For me, the most satisfying metroidvania of the year. Great platforming challenges, fun bosses, respected my time, and didn't feel punishing for the sake of punishing like a certain other metroidvania this year.

Finally completed Ghost of Yotei. Loved the game, did 100%. Wish the main plot wasn't the predictable cliché it was. My partner, who barely watched me play, called the ending when I was 20hrs from finishing (I clocked 70hrs). If not for that GoY could be my GOTY instead of 3rd-ish...

Glad to have a new Katamari game but wish the tutorials were better handled. Previous games had 1 to start up front. This one seems to have a new one pulling me away from the actual game every 1-2 stages. Just let me play the game uninterrupted
