At first I thought it was an April Fools prank that Trump’s NASA had such a DEI lunar mission crew (first person of color, first woman, first Canadian!) until I read that the crew was selected in April 2023 in the Biden administration.

Got my copy of Poems for Protest, published by @rough-diamond1.bsky.social. What an outstanding group of poets to be surrounded by!!! My poem, IT’S A SIN, was written after Trump ordered the bombing of Iran in 2025. I believe it is even more important today.

I supported the troops, but war fighters? Military personnel would come to schools and talk about being proud of positive things like defending the country, saving lives, and helping build schools and hospitals and stuff around the world. What is the message now other than let’s go fight some wars?

Since Trump and Hegseth started saying War instead of Defense, it looks like like the terminology is becoming internalized in everyday speech. Last night I was venting when the base was blowing stuff up at night. The language in the response I find telling,
