Next summer, finally returning out west for field work! This time in the Almond Formation. Cool spot, lots of stuff that’s often referred to one thing but is likely new/different. Anchiceratops is a good example. #FossilFriday

Friday October 17th is Haunted Museum After Dark at the Carnegie! 21+ only, costumes encouraged! I’ll be there talking about the Jurassic Park movie monsters! Should be fun, come join us!

Always exciting and fun seeing newly named species in museums. Something especially cool when they’re still in the lab rather than mounted or displayed…

One thing I find interesting is, when you compare the Mesozoic to today, the difference in scale between the ocean giants and land giants is markedly different. Today’s whales far outclass elephants while the giant marine reptiles were at best on par with sauropods. #FossilFriday
