Why is it snowing in Georgia & not NC? Blame the mountains & high pressure. The mountains are "slowing" the arrival of the cold air. The reason for snow farther south. If the high was positioned to pull cold air down the east side of the mountains, this would be a decent snow event for NC. #ncwx
