Green is on and the overspray has been (mostly) corrected. Still not 100% happy with some of it but will leave it for a day or so and come back to it rather than just banging away at it. #histscalemodels

Red Brown camo is done-ish. Thinned the paint a bit to much initially so will need to come back and clean up some of the edges and overspray once the green is down as well. Starting to look not to bad. #histscalemodels

Dark Yellow is on. Next up is the Red Brown and Olive Green camo. Still waiting for the QuickTracks to arrive but plenty to do while I wait for them. #histscalemodels

Zimmerit is done. All I can say is that's it's a good thing Zimmerit doesn't have to be perfect 😂 Now I can carry on finishing the build. #histscalemodels

Taking a break from Zimmerit and giving the Crocodile a wash. Gone quite heavy with this first wash so will need to clean it up a bit before moving onto the other bits and pieces. #histscalemodels

Not having built anything German for 20 years, I forgot about the forest of road wheels on the big cats and their derivatives. Onto the Zimmerit & weld beads this week, then I can start painting. #histscalemodels

Tracks are on so the Crocodile is altogether now. Now onto the weathering and to figure out how to build a church out of foam. While waiting for things to dry I started the Tamiya Elefant. As usual for Tamiya, it goes together incredibly well. #histscalemodels

All right #heaviesgb & #histscalemodels, I've fixed the cockpit paint issue so I'm calling Corky done. For my first group build, it's been fun to do something different to my normal scales and types and great seeing all the other amazing modellers out there doing similar types!

Matte varnish went down yesterday so got to unmask the clear parts today and I've had the same problem with the primer & top coat coming away from the cockpit 🤦 Started on the 1/72 Autocar 4x4 Tractor while waiting for things to dry. #histscalemodels #heaviesgb

Decals on and turrets installed. I like the clean look so will only do minor chipping and weathering and then the final clear coat and I'll call it done. Next up will be the vehicles for the airfield. #histscalemodels #heaviesgb

Had some paint adhesion issues for the first time in a long time, so back to re-spraying the top coat. Didn't like the look of the tail decals so decided to paint it on instead. Turned out pretty well I think #histscalemodels #heaviesgb

The #heaviesgb Liberator has got paint on it now, inching ever closer to finishing it. Spitfire has also had some live and that's done now. Got a ICM kit of RAF figures for an airfield scene so onto them next time I'm waiting for paint to dry. #histscalemodels

Evening all. Finally finished my Churchill. It now looks like a tank that has been trundling around the villages and towns of Normandy. I learned the gifts of patience and when to stop with this build and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

Real life has gotten in the way the last week so have done sod all on the B24. Turrets are done, only a final coat on the ball turret to go and everything is masked and ready for the primer to go on. #histscalemodels #heaviesgb

Small update on the Dingo and figures. Gloss coat is on so decals are done and washes going on next. About half way through with the figures. Really just an excuse to try my wife's 3d printed light box haha. #histscalemodels

Painting in the details on the Dingo. As I thought, I did regret not painting the interior before closing it up. It has become a lesson in patience. Still plenty to do over the weekend. #histscalemodels

Further work on the Achilles and base. Trying to work through how it will all go together in the end. Good ol rubber tracks have seperated so got to deal with that now. Also got the Tamiya Martlet primed and somewhat ready for the top camo pattern and then the invasion strips. #histscalemodels
