Perhaps the craziest 72 hours of my life happened this week. Monday: While wearing a tuxedo, I’m dancing to Dr. Mario music being played in the club by the original composer until early in the morning, all while downing somewhere around 15 drinks. *Goes home and sleeps for three hours*

One line I always felt was odd in Return of the Jedi is when Lando is flying inside the second Death Star, and he says "Lock onto the strongest power source, it SHOULD be the power generator." SHOULD be? Was the rebel alliance expecting a power source stronger than a planet sized mega weapon?

Gotta say, 3 months with the Switch 2, and one of the little additions I appreciate is the dual top/bottom charging ports. As someone who discretely charges his Switch at work, it's nice to be able to open my bag and charge the system regardless of orientation, someone I couldn't do with Switch 1.

Just to give you an idea of how many suits I have, I was looking for a particular suit in my suit room (yes really). Couldn’t find it, until I eventually discovered an entire hidden shelf of forgotten suits (buried under more suits of course).

Up at 5am everyday for the foreseeable future to read and study before my job at the think tank, so that I can do my infinitely minuscule part to help maintain American / Japanese relations….and this is pretty much my exact thought when I get out of bed each morning.

Set up my own morning meeting in the think tank under the title “DSFK”, on the surface it stands for “Development of the study of finance by Kyle”, but real ones know that it actually stands for “Deep Substrate Foliated Kalkite”.

I am asked daily how I can wear a jacket in the summer, and this video very simply shows how it’s possible: light breathable summer fabrics. Not all suit jackets are alike, and and it’s of the utmost importance to chose proper seasonal fabrics when putting together an outfit.

I’m seeing reports that say that unless you own every hardware peripheral for Switch 2, that obtaining a 100% completion rate in Switch 2 Welcome Tour is impossible. That’s….not true? A character in the game explicitly tells you how to bypass challenges if you don’t own the necessary hardware.

Seersucker is never used as formal wear in Japan but it is quite often used in casual wear. That guy was most likely just rocking a casual outfit and not on his way to work

One of my highlights of Star Wars Celebration was the “connections between Japan and Star Wars” discussion panel. They showed the Daicon opening animation featuring Star Wars characters, then followed by discussing the similarities between Star Wars and Evangelion. I audibly gasped.

My Master Code Breaker cosplay at Star Wars Celebration went better than I could have imagined! Was stopped by a ton of people wanting to compliment my outfit and take pictures. Was slightly worried beforehand that no one would recognize my character, but seemingly everyone knew who I was!

Where’s the outage over a foreign president not wearing a “proper suit” to the White House?!?!

Today I learned that Toys R Us in Japan still to this day implements the old paper slip system for new video game releases.

I'm not religious, but I believe in the holy trinity.

Ten days out from Star Wars Celebration, and my cosplay outfit is complete. I am going as “The Master Code Breaker”, who was briefly seen in The Last Jedi. I wanted to go in cosplay that was “suit adjacent”, and I already had most of the pieces in my closet. I spent less than $7 to put it together!

Out running some last minute errands, and buying some snacks for tonight’s Switch 2 unveiling. Hype levels reaching critical, and I’m driving around blasting this to put myself in the mood. Real ones know.
