I've been thinking about this lately - about the difference between when someone genuinely wants to tell you you fucked up, and when they want to use you as a soapbox to stand on so they can proclaim how right they are. The internet encourages the latter, and it sucks! But the former is valuable.

I try to be grateful when ppl take time out of their day to tell me I fucked up. As long as it doesn't turn into some kind of clout-chasing slash-and-burn nonsense, I can take it. Role-play being a person who is secure in their own self worth, it's fun.
