Feels like I wasted the weekend. Not due to game dev, just.. things :D On the other side, the game progress is surprisingly large. I did visual improvements for unit damage + fixed visual bugs, added a new map mode, saved ~1.6ms of each frame with ~600 units, finally added logs export #gamedev

Spent an hour debugging why gizmos are not seen in Unity. As a lazy person, I was throwing the issue at different agents for an hour. Got no success. It was fixed by removing and adding the object on the scene again lol

When I started with the development of the game, each unit consisted of 2 to 40 "details" - small sprites looking like scrap. Some details could be shot off making the models and game more dynamic (ie Scorpio unit can lose 2 out of 3 weapons :D ) #indiedev #indiegame #idle #rts

Auto-battle / incremental / idle gamers: Do you actually enjoy speeding games up? Sometimes if I hit 3x speed, it starts feeling more like I’m rushing to finish the game, not play it I’m experimenting with game speed options and can’t decide: Is 2x enough, or do players expect 3–4x to be present?

Not sure why but this short sequence is sticking with me. It's not even up to date yet. The enemies changed color. The zones are transparent, and the X enemies have an eye.

I like how the two facts coexist I always wondered how much work is invisible or plainly wasted in big companies. That's one reason why I love developing my own games so much
