Been too long since I’ve played! Today, we went to a local gaming shop and bought a new book. Excited to begin a new adventure with some friends, my husband, and my kiddo who has been showing a keen interest for sometime. #dungeonsanddragons

Money and time are tight, so I'm super relieved my daughter found a dress from my closet she'd like to wear to her dance on Friday! WIN!

Samhain reminds us that there is also rebirth. In that spirit, I planted my garlic and some tulip bulbs for next year.

Last night, I led my first ritual in a year. I had needed the time off to turn inward and focus on my healing. Many Pagans view Samhain as a type of spiritual New Year, so this felt like a rebirth for me. #Druidry

On Sunday, I made a solo trip to my old friend, the stone circle. It truly felt like a homecoming. I missed these lovely sentinels. I said hello and promised to return soon. #Druidry

On Friday, my husband and I attended a ghost walk in Watertown where we got to tour inside the old Masonic temple. It was fascinating! Lots of good local lore there and in the other locations we visited. #seasonofthewıtch

My husband and I are celebrating our 16th anniversary this weekend. We’ve had a tough year, but it’s been full of more good times than not. We’re healing together and are closer than ever before. 🩷

Sometimes I don’t want to do the work. Fitness, ritual, mindful breathing… Sometimes dark clouds fill my head, but the work helps. I am strong and resilient. I’m compassionate and patient with others and myself.

I was going to post about welcoming October, but then I saw the news. I mean…the news has been depressing a lot these days, but I was especially sad to learn that my hero, Jane Goodall, passed away. She’s been an inspiration to me since I was very young.

The trees are putting on a spectacular show in the ADK this weekend! My family enjoyed colorful high-peak views with a gondola ride up Little Whiteface (next to Whiteface Mountain) and then joined the Oktoberfest celebration below. Totally worth the drive! #Adirondacks #Autumn

Last night, we went to see Avatar: The Last Airbender in concert. It was an awesome way to celebrate such a beloved story and the artistry behind it! 🔥

We said goodbye to summer tonight with a bonfire. Bee helped me decorate our family altar and make some corn dollies too. Welcome Autumn tomorrow! 🍁

So glad I felt better today so I could attend this fantastic women’s retreat organized by @lighthouse_in_theresa. Gentle yoga, qigong, trails, massage, poetry, and kayaking on the beautiful Millsite Lake. It was a healing day, and I’m so grateful that I was able to go with a friend. 💚

I’m feeling much better today. Thanks for the healing prayers! I’m very relieved because, a few months ago, I signed up for a women’s spuritual retreat at a nearby lake. Very excited to attend!

Loved seeing all the positive chalk affirmations on the sidewalk around my doctors’ offices the last couple days. I had a small procedure. Nothing to worry about, but it has me a wee bit tired and sore.

Went hiking with my beloved this weekend. Rain only added to the magical atmosphere surrounding St. Regis Mountain. The Adirondacks offer challenges but also healing and transformation. ⛰️ 🥾 #ADK #Hiking #Saranac6 #FireTower

August ended with seeing my family, a nice car ride with Bee, then a little adventure with my husband in which we saw a part of our village we’d never seen before. He also picked me a tiny little flower which was sweet. I look forward to September’s potential.

Yesterday was perfect summer hiking weather, so we took advantage of it and enjoyed a day trip to the Adirondacks. I needed it. It’s been too long since I’ve been on a mountain. We explored Baxter, one of the Lake Placid 9. Gorgeous views! #Hiking

This is the first year my daughter is in dance intensives and I’m going to the gym instead of writing in a cafe.

Went for a walk with my husband and it felt amazing. Such a perfect temperature for me!
