On average, seven Hoosiers lose their lives in a residential fire every month, and in the past six years 80 out of Indiana’s 92 counties have had at least one residential fire fatality. In 2024, 66 adults and 11 juveniles were lost in these fires across 37 counties. St. Joseph (9), Marion (7) and Lake (6) counties were followed by Morgan (4) and Scott (4) as those with the most residential fire fatalities. Protect yourself and your loved ones:
