obviously the history of HBOmax is one of own goals and self-inflicted wounds - but perhaps none are as personally hilarious as the fact that they punted on being the place to watch Over the Garden Wall in October for no fucking reason -

Rebecca Sugar must seemingly oscillate between "how the hell is every company not offering her a bajillion projects" and "how the hell is she doing a bajillion projects??"

keep in mind that i adored Women Wearing Shoulder Pads and that it's probably going to be my favorite season of tv this year: but oh god the english dub / movie version is so, so bad and the fact that >0 people will watch it and believe the show itself must be terrible makes me genuinely sad -

woke up thinking about this episode - kind of hilarious how specifically targeted this one was to what i like in a finale. weird, character-focused, and just - really interesting??

episode 8... oh my god i'm afraid i've been doomed to talk about this show to those unlucky enough not to have seen it for the rest of time. a fucking fantastic (season?) finale to a fucking fantastic show.

also, just a heads up - not gonna be doing week by week analysis for Fionna and Cake this time around. it was exhausting making those videos, and while i do appreciate how well they did at launch and how much of my viewership is linked to that time - the videos are pretty much worthless now.

looks like they finally added the rest of F&C S2 to EIDR a few days ago - the first 3 episodes had been up there for a while now. still no titles (looks like they learned from last time) - but the fact that they still say 2025 feels like pretty good confirmation of what we all already believe -

they did it again! episode 5 is truly nothing short of stellar !! such a strong showing of what it turning out to be a cast of characters i really love. the tone and look of this one are just so immensely appealing to me as well.

either i'm absolutely cooking with this one or i've written so much about this show that i've absolutely lost my mind

and on to the next one haha
