Correct me if I’m wrong. If Hegseth or anyone else involved is found by congress to have committed a crime they could be impeached by congress and or charged by the DOJ. So if left to DOJ nothing will happen (aside from impeachment of Hegseth) because Bondi won’t bring charges.
