Going over to hunt some pirates again. Poor selection of missions at the station I woke up at, so I'll beter visit Wankertown and the other ports in Duamta to fill up. #EliteDangerous

One thing I like about ED Copilot is that it keeps track of which pirates I've taken down, and mentions when there's a recurrence. Well, pirates have insurances too, I guess. (But it would be hillarious to see one that I took down in a Vette return in a Sidewinder.)

It feels like this ship kit gives the Kestrel the largest footprint of any small ship available. #EliteDangerous

Possibly unpopular opinion: The Kestrel Mk2 isn't really OP. Just specialised. That's my impression after having flown it for a few days and taken down 20-30 NPC Corvettes without a dent to my shields. That's its purpose. A big game hunter. Large and sluggish (NPC) ships struggle to hit it.

Time to take this feisty girl out on a pirate hunt again. But I'll tart her up a bit first. Can't decide if she looks like a flying fish or a Siberian Jay, though. #EliteDangerous

I think I see why the Corvette in particular is such a sitting duck against a Kestrel. Other ships often score a few hits on me, but not a Vette if I focus on it. It's the hardpoint placement. NPCs "nose up" when engaging, meaning that it can only bring the size 3 to bear. And it's often fixed.

Whack-a-pirate time! Might get a new paintjob or a ship kit for this thing tomorrow. #EliteDangerous

As with any scam it's important to keep it going. Pretend that machines can "learn to think" (they can't) and "become sentient" (they won't) to keep the money flowing from those who don't understand how computers actually work.

Quite interesting. Perhaps we could have some of this logic applied to CZs in #EliteDangerous? I've always found it frustrating that enemy ships can "escape" - if they jump out or become disabled, it should count as kills. What actually happens is that they are eliminated, becoming non-assets.

I went out for some sight seeing tonight. With Chris here. Chris is a powerplay agent like, but for Mahon. For some reason he decided to visit the wrong stronghold carrier. But I decided to bring him along as a sign of friendship between powers. I think he'll love this trip of ours. #EliteDangerous
