I see a lot of programers and tech type folks in my feed, looking for work lately. Some of them sounding quite desperate. Is this an anomaly? A trend? Something I should be concerned about as a non-programer? Or aware of as a adjunct teaching tech related courses?

Something I'm trying to keep in mind for the next few weeks: The students in my class this semester are all sophomores and juniors. Four years ago they would have been sophomores and juniors in High School. Four years ago it was November 2020.

For the record, I choose empathy and compassion over bullying. Bullies are assholes, and their supporters are weak.

I submitted our last Clean Energy Communities Grant application yesterday. This one was for an enegy audit and $412,500 in energy efficiency upgrades to our 1930's County Office building. If this one flys, we will have recieved over $1,000,000 to be used for GHG reducing projects. #ClimateSmart
