CITY The Animation has concluded with a stellar final episode. I'm sad that the mayor race wasn't adapted, but I really like this final chapter that's unique to the anime. I'm not 100% satisfied with this adaptation, but I'm glad it exists at all and have thoroughly enjoyed it for what it is!

I already have so many thoughts about where Knights of Guinevere could go. What an amazing pilot. Please Glitch, I pray that it gets picked up for a full run.

I have beaten the true ending of Hollow Knight: Silksong, so I can now give some thoughts on the game as a whole. It's far more challenging that the first game. Every fight is a carefully choreographed back and forth that will punish you heavily if you don't respect them. I like that aspect a lot.

I knew today's episode of CITY would be a bit of a sad one based on what I remember from the manga. As expected, it damn well got me tearing up. Ecchan and Matsuri have consistently had the best scenes of the show so far.

Now that we're two episodes into CITY's anime adaptation, there is one thing I've noticed. I think they're trying to make Nagumo, Niikura and Wako less focal, since a lot of their chapters are getting axed. Not 100% sure how I feel about that yet.

Completed the new Deltarune chapters after replaying the first two. I honestly just think I don't get much out of this game, so I'll probably just sit on the sidelines from here on out.

Went to a screening of Cinema Paradiso at the Prince Charles Cinema earlier. Left my mark on the request board. They've got other Ghibli films showing, so maybe this isn't a long shot...

I've always hoped that I would one day be able to watch Speed Racer in a cinema because I sadly missed that chance when I was younger. And I will finally get to experience that next month.

Put my thoughts about A Minecraft Movie into my Letterboxd review. It's stupid, and that's what we needed.

Rewatched Flow today. Straight up ugly cried at the secretarybird death scene this time. The entire film is incredibly emotional. In retrospect, I think it slightly edges out The Wild Robot. I can't wait to watch it over and over again in the years to come.

Today was a pretty decent cinema day.

Watched that pilot that's pretty popular at the moment. Pretty fun concept with a lot of potential if it's ever expanded upon. Here's a quick Aika thing I mostly did because I haven't drawn in a while.

Manifesting the Demi Moore win for Best Actress tonight and Dune: Part Two winning anything.

First time I've ever watched all Best Picture nominees. I'm very glad I did, because there's a lot to love about this year. Dune: Part Two is transcendent, The Substance is an outrageously hilarious romp, I'm Still Here and Nickel Boys are both wildly gripping and emotional, etc.

Insanely strong year for animation. I would not mind Memoir of a Snail, The Wild Robot, Flow, or Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl winning.

Had the pleasure of watching Flow early in the UK thanks to a preview + Q&A screening in London. Got to hear about the process behind the film from Gints himself, which was really interesting.

Watched Big Hero 6 last night, fully expecting to hate Callaghan because of how much exposure he's had in the review space. I don't get why he's so hated. He's not a bad villain, he just isn't a villain at all. He's a grief-stricken man who find an opportunity for revenge and takes it. 1/2

Films set in Japan where the main character is led by a cat to an old shop where they establish a connection that fuels their drive to accomplish something they didn't think they could ever do.
