We’ve been playing a drop-in/out campaign of DCC for a year and a half. Regular players cycle through as schedules allow and some are consistent. This was the finale of our latest four month stint which was able to bring our OG crew back into the fold with our newer players. All loose ends tied up

We’re nearing the end of Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. Here’s a couple of action shots during our adventure. One of the players acts as a deity and demands allegiance and blind loyalty in order for a PC to find the way out of a spaceship that had them trapped inside with relentless big bads.

I realized why I’ve never been an artist that makes people stop and “ooh and ahh” over things. 2. I don’t draw. 3. I’m a verbal artist. 1. I don’t have a cool signature. I think it really comes down to the signature that makes an artist stand out. Prove me wrong.

Here’s the thing. I’m at a point where can I trust any news source anymore? Seriously! I’m tired of the echo chamber. We know there are problems. Where are the factual trusted sources now? I don’t want soundbites and headlines. What can we do as a citizens? Phone calls aren’t doing a thing.

I love @bsky.app and how it perceives what I need to see. First, I like all the nerdy content, creators, artists and RPG folks that keep coming my way. Second, I’m attuned to the sh*t of our country (US). I don’t know who you are, but thanks. Third…how did a random mushroom account show up?

Having Covid made me forget how long it would be before feeling better. Or how long was I contagious, or lack of food taste, or waking up drenched in sweat each night, or nights of dreaming of coding, or not having a fever and still having chills, or…staying home when sick. It really is that easy.

Rewatched Arrival and experiencing time as non-linear is a great way to understand why things happen the way they do. Memories are imprinted and many times false. The older I get I question what happened . Maybe dementia is truly living in the moment and we have it all wrong because we’re linear.

Just another doodle…sketch…? I dunno. I gave myself two minutes to attempt drawing one of our campaign PCs. This is Morty. He’d tel you his hat isn’t floppy enough or Wizard enough. It’s fine Morty, you have normal sized chicken arms, with scales and feathers, no one is looking at your hat.

Never have I ever… Shared a doodle for others to see. I’m envious of anyone who can draw or doodle like they’re effortlessly drafting an imaginary thing in reality. I’ve decided to incorporate doodle meditations. It’s how I’m tricking myself to “draw”. These are my stick figure renditions.

Pushing out into the Skyverse.

I didn’t read the books, so I have no knowledge other than what I watch. The show Silo pisses me off. Or maybe just frustrates me at how close we are to putting pieces together and solving something, just to have it ripped out from underneath my viewing eyes. It’s, good, real good.

I’m always impressed with those that can put anything from your mind on to a medium. There’s a complete disconnect from my imagination to the finished product. It’s like playing the telephone game with a three year old. Who’s a good online artist to watch for drawing tutorial for pencil and ink?

Maybe it’s my rebellious side but I’m glad I don’t have a Spotify trend list this year. After switching to Tidal I’ve never have to look back again. “Alexa, play Dolly Parton radio.” Alexa, “Here are some songs by Dolly Parton on Amazon Music.” Let me select song in app…WTF!! Bluetooth it is.

I love Mondays! It gives you all week to accomplish whatever you want. Tuesdays on the other hand, they are the step-child of the week because no one gets excited about mid-week Wednesday like Thursday getting the credit for almost Friday. That’s why I run a DCC campaign Tuesday eve, electrifying!

It arrived, Ascendancy from One More Turn Games by Matthew Meeple. This is a big game and a big box. It was also my first Kickstarter project. KS should come with a warning label and a purchase limit… Spent more hours than needed to setup, sleeve and rebox. I’m embarrassed to admit, four hours.

Day one of leftovers. It really does make me appreciate the food more getting to eat it after the dishes are clean and the table is cleared. The way the food soaks up itself more and settles into some stronger flavoring. Thank you corn pudding and sweet potato casserole for a great breakfast.
