Finished Leviathan Falls. I never thought the Expanse was an amazing series, but this last book was terrible. The last three books really drag it down, and the final book is easily the worst in the series Well… onto the next book on my list, Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green #booksky

I think an important framing I don’t usually see is AI isn’t stealing your jobs. Billionaires are stealing your jobs by using AI. The AI has no volition to do anything, and the framing of the issue as AI doing the theft implies far more capability than it has

I’m liking Dandelion Dynasty book 2 more than book 1. I do find Chinese history interesting, so book 1 was good, but a story closer to the characters like this is a far more fun way to read fiction. Maybe the takeaway is Ken Liu is better at writing fiction than fictionalized nonfiction #booksky

So I’m almost caught up on Deltarune. I do think chapter 3 was some of Toby Fox’s weakest writing, but I’m not sure how fair that is with chapter 2 and what I’ve played of chapter 4 being among his best writing immediately there as contrast #gaming

I finally got around to continuing Deltarune and really forgot how fun it was. Toby Fox has gotten better at writing since Undertale, and now I’m questioning… do I like Susie more than Papyrus as a character #gaming #gamesky

Halfway through Crisis Core… I don’t know why I was optimistic that FFVII might improve in its writing. It got worse. Nomura really just combined all the worst parts of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts and left out the good parts… so far a bottom 4 FF game #gaming

So I decided to try out FFVII Crisis Core despite not being a big fan of FFVII… Nomura thinking people wouldn’t notice he made the same game twice between this and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days 1/ #gaming

I finished Lost Judgment and its dlc. Sega did it again and knocked it out of the park, so that’s every Yakuza game since 7 has been amazing now. Pirate Yakuza wasn’t as good as the other 4, but it was still really good. I don’t think I can rank them either… #gaming #gamesky #LikeADragon

In my cyberpunk, the only potentially magic thing is the brain implants The official story from the Monad Corporation is that they created the technology with power they obtained from killing the creator god. No one has had success at reverse engineering them, so a lot of people believe the story

The crazy thing is Dune kinda predicted this 60 years ago. After the Butlerian Jihad wiped out all the thinking machines, the Galaxy still became an authoritarian state because the core problem was never solved, so uhh… read Dune. The later books get really weird politically though #booksky

Finished the main story of Clair Obscur… people really overhyped this game. It’s fine, not amazing. The endings were really disappointing. Act 3 combat gets really exhausting and unbalanced. At least the first 2/3 of the game was good #gaming #gamesky

The thing I’m really seeing reading the Witcher books is the games did a really good job at making the small stories of Geralt dealing with monsters a good bit better than the overarching narrative #booksky

Spoilers for Snuff by Terry Pratchett A goblin girl played beautiful music, and this moved the upper crust of Ankh-Morpork to recognize goblins as people. This is because the story is fiction. I overall liked the book, but that ending was uncharacteristically naive of Pratchett #booksky
