Spent Thursday & Friday at Burritt on the Mountain for the Farm Days field trip event, demonstrating historic weaving to hundreds of local kids. 🐑🧶🧣

Opening day of the Embracing Art exhibit at The Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur, AL and this is a day of firsts for me. "Go with the Flow" was my first handwoven art piece and this is my first art exhibition. The exhibut runs through May 10, 2025.

I've spent the week setting up a new site for the handwoven side of my studio. It includes both a shop for my rag rugs and my art portfolio. I think it looks clean and simple, but I'd love your feedback. What do you think?

Had a great time demonstrating weaving at the Alabama Constitution Hall Park today during the Huntsville Museum of Art's Drop in and Create Saturday!

Spent Tuesday with 170 first graders, educating them about 19th century textiles in rural Alabama.

I'm looking forward to doing a kids weaving demo on Saturday, March 22, from 11 am-1 pm, at Alabama Constitution Hall Park in Huntsville, Alabama! I got my rigid heddle loom set up last night and have selected a few sample pieces that I hope will help inspire the next generation of textile artists.
