Afternoon all. A beautiful sunny day here on what would have been my mum's birthday. I love this pic of her, caught enjoying a kitchen disco moment with Ted. Give those you love a hug. 🫂🫶

Another 24 hellebores planted to provide early colour next year. Great shelter/ food source for wildlife. Placed half in the orchard which will be a good support for the ground nesting bees which have been emerging too early in the last couple of years 🌱

Morning. Busy day today. Working, Italian lesson &, as it’s a lovely sunny day, laundering everything in sight! Looking forward to my daughter returning tomorrow. Baked a sourdough & will make soup for her. I’m pleasantly chuffed to bits with this loaf. Have a super day everyone. 😊

Afternoon all. Disappointingly it is pelting rain today as I had hoped to plant the 24 new hellebores I bought. Too wet even for me! Still the newly planted ferns are absolutely loving the wet weather. This one is an established beauty sited at one of the orchard entrances. 🌱

It’s apples harvest time. Already collected 6 buckets & that’s only 2 of the trees. All individually wrapped in newspaper which will keep Ted & I in apples through to spring. Tackling the pears tomorrow… 🌱

My lovely dad, another year & I still miss him dreadfully. A fantastic gardener, especially veg growing. He taught me so much & inspired my ‘green thumb’ ❤️💚🌱

Morning all. Just received these lovely heucheras & ferns from Roots Plants. Fabulous healthy plants, superbly packed. Not a soil spill or any plastic in sight. Destined for the woodland border at the front of the house. List in alt text 🌱

Made a batch of pizza bases to use up sourdough starter. Couldn’t resist popping some garden grown tomatoes & chillies on one & cooking for supper. It was delicious, tasted better than it looked 😂 🌱
