I am old enough to remember when food stamps. They would pull out a booklet, and tear off pastel slips of paper to pay for basic things like cheese, milk, and cereal. I grew up hungry. As a child I cried because there was no food in my house. I can never forget.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

He orders extrajudicial killings. He sent troops into our cities. He terrorizes citizens with ICE raids. He raised taxes without congressional approval. He has ruined American farmers and ranchers. He plans to starve the vulnerable. He demolished our house. Remove him from office.

This was compounded with widespread internet services outages.

I need dental care. I have been telling my VA Community Care Dental provider that I need work on the large holes in my teeth for nearly a year now. Can’t get in touch with the VA, the provider took so long to get back with me my consult went stale and now I can’t get a hold of the VA or the clinic.
