A sincere congratulations to Honey Davenport for earning the International Mr Leather title for 2026. I was saddened to learn of the fiasco in Palm Springs as Honey was ramping up for the contest. Our community needs to learn to embrace acceptance in the same way we demand acceptance from others.

It was a pleasure to run into IML 2023, Marcus Barela, this weekend. I still consider him one of the most authentic title holders who is genuinely welcoming towards everyone. Thank you Marcus for what you did, and what you continue to do, to support our communities.

It's not a true IML visit unless you chat with Eli, a renowned leatherman who has fascinating insight into people and what makes them click. I always appreciate being able to spend time with Eli and learn his wisdom.

Met a Chicago Cowboy, @kinkycowboy.bsky.social in the lobby of the International Mr Leather event hotel. I gave him a quick calf roping lesson using hotel banquet chairs. At the end, the puppies were lining up to get roped. Who saw that coming? He is a confident young man who will "go places".

Met a great Canadian leatherman, Dave, and shared some good times. He had just a hint of sweat and cigar smoke in his hair which is an instant boner for me. We learned that we know 6 people by which we are connected in the PNW. Dave is also a kink educator and is at most leather-centric events.
