Indiana voter here. Celebrating the fact that enough Republican Senators stood strong & resisted the intimidation and pressure to redistrict. Work's needed to stop gerrymandering on both sides but thanks to Hoosiers for fighting! Take note of who voted yes and remember them next election.

Are you lucky enough to still have your parents in your life? Mine are 87 years old and I realize every day how limited my time with them is. Be kind when they move slower or need more of your attention. Call and just say hi. Don't text....call! They love to hear your voice.

Fall is holding on but the promise of winter waits around the corner. I love Indiana weather!

I see that "affordability" is the new buzz word. Wow. So, saying things are affordable is a better angle to use to try to make people believe that everything's okay? "Yes, costs may be up but they are still affordable." Seriously?

When people say that the cost for a Thanksgiving meal is less than last year and are listing the items included, are they ensuring the package sizes are the same (ie: a box of stuffing mix that was 12oz before but is 10oz now)? Are we paying less but actually getting less? Just wondering.

Does anyone believe that if Democrats voted to reopen the government, that the administration and Republicans would in any way work with them to address healthcare and other issues? They haven't been willing to meet and discuss for 30+ days and can't be trusted to do so.

Why is it so hard for our elected officials to simply sit down in the same room and have a conversation? Put aside the anger and vindictiveness. Come to the table. Listen with an open mind. Serve the people of this nation as you were elected to do. Compromise. Talk. Please. Enough already.
