Well I’ve been making some designs of a main menu for our good old bob the blob and I gotta I’m pretty proud of the progress on changes that lead to the my gold version (image 3) of the main menu. Time to deconstruct the and animate them through godot. #gamedev #pixelart

#gamedev shorts no9: GUI updated. With my previous attempt of the gui my custom fonts was a bit bulky. So back to aspirate I go to give it another go. This time with 8x6 for capital letters and 6x6 or 7x6 for the small letters. Gotta say looks awesome and easy to read. #godotengine #indiedev

To All #gamemakerEngine Users i'm having a bit of trouble of getting the buttons to show up and in the right depth with the pause menu it's above the texts and main menu it's not showing at all and trust me i've use the (!on_Layer_Ui) depth = - bbox_bottem and just doesn't want to work.

i'm curious for all #gamedev #solodev here what type of programming are you using when making games: Visual Scripting or Hard Coding? cause i've dabble in both but i use visual scripting to help me out a bit with some game dev projects, but i do take the time to learn coding.

2/2 start off with visual scripting so you can get the bare basics of programming then work your way up, to learning a programming language of your choice that corresponds with the game engine, Best example will be Gamemaker studio, with their GML Visual and Coding. #gamedev

1/2 now to continue on, when it comes to programming there's a vast variety of programming out there, with python, C#, C++, Lua, JS and HTML, and game engine language like GDscript, and GML. But Don't forget Visual Scripting, if ever get stuck with writing a line of but still want to code...

i think when it comes down to picking a game engine, i think it all comes down to peoples preferences and knowledge, there's plenty of games engine out there. but it's your choice of what game engine you want to learn. Take that first step and have go. #gamedev #solodev
