Philip Seymour Update: Over the weekend, Philip enjoyed his first supervised turnout at the sanctuary. He was excited to stretch his legs and explore more of his new home! We'll continue with supervised turnouts, as long as weather conditions allow.

PHILIP SEYMOUR UPDATE: www.equineadvocates.org/philip-seymo... Philip Seymour, a malnourished and seriously injured Thoroughbred we rescued in early October, has made great progress since arriving at our sanctuary two weeks ago. His wound is healing well, and he's adjusting to his new home.

Elinore, Perla, and Vince hope you're enjoying this beautiful fall day 🍁 Elinore, a Percheron/Morgan Cross, is a rescued Amish workhorse. Perla, a Registered Standardbred, and Vince, an Appaloosa, were part of a cruelty case in upstate New York. All now live safe and happy lives at our sanctuary.

We love those little donkey noises! In 2017, Jasper was rescued from a livestock auction that once operated in Chatham, NY. He was badly neglected & in terrible shape. Fortunately, he was saved & introduced to a Pony named Blue, who became his pasture mate. They both arrived here in April.

The name's Pete - Pensacola Pete! This handsome Standard Donkey, born in 2011, was abandoned along with three female donkeys in Pensacola, FL. The others were adopted, but no one wanted Pete. Fearing he would fall through the cracks, we rescued him, and he arrived at the sanctuary in August of 2015.

This little flower arrived at our sanctuary 7 yrs ago today 🌼 Daffodil is a Miniature Horse born around 2009. She was rescued out of a New Jersey kill pen in 2016 by Artemis Farm Rescue. She had a serious leg injury, most likely sustained at the auction, & underwent a long rehab before coming here.

"Make sure to get my good side." -Buddy Let's be honest - Buddy doesn't have a bad side! This gorgeous Thoroughbred was rescued in 2012 when police intercepted a truck shipping him & other horses to Canada for slaughter. We were able to take him & he now spends his days with other Thoroughbreds.

Fun Fact: Horses drink between 5 & 15 gallons of water daily, sometimes even more on a hot day! Keeping them hydrated is an essential part of the care we provide. We regularly check water troughs to ensure our equines always have access to clean water, whether it's for drinking or splashing around!
