Had a blast at The Anime Place (TAP) last night! Played some BlazBlue CF and Guilty Gear Strive, ate some bomb ass BBQ wings, and had great conversation with lovely folks!

I am excited to be returning to a normal stream schedule starting this week! I am going all in on Texas Showdown practice by practicing 2 fighting games a week on a rotating basis, starting with GBVSR and GGST! Also gonna do variety and continue playing Final Fantasy 16.

Decided on a whim to check out The Anime Place (TAP) local for the first time last night, and it didn't disappoint! The turnout may have been small, but the vibes were still wonderful! Had lots of laughs, great conversation, and played fun Tekken 8, UNI II, and GBVSR casuals with some lovely humans!

Had a great time at Space City Beatdown yesterday! Entered 5 brackets (Guilty Gear Strive, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, BlazBlue Central Fiction, and Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2) and got to socialize and press buttons with both new and familiar faces! This is what supporting locals is all about!

After taking a few months to grieve the loss of Dexter, Yenalba and I decided it was time to welcome new animals into our home. I wanted to adopt a bonded pair since I always felt bad that Dexter never had a furry companion in his life. So, everyone, meet Kaia and Shadow!

I'm so thankful my health insurance fully covers therapy. It's something I've needed for a long time, but I always had to stop it prematurely in the past due to the cost. I've only had one session so far, but it was beneficial in helping me address a stressful situation at work.

Got my new PC and desk set up! Feels great to have a spacious sitting-standing desk that can comfortably accommodate all of my stuff and doesn't make me feel cramped. It's also refreshing being able to seamlessly play games on the highest possible graphical settings, especially while streaming.

I've got 2 phone interviews scheduled for this Wednesday, fingers crossed they go well and lead to a job. I've been unemployed for a little over 4 months now and hate every minute of it. I'm SO ready to get back to work and finally establish some normalcy in my life.

Got the chance to meet David Forseth, the English VA for Sol Badguy, at Texas Showdown! We got a fun little video together with him saying one of my favorite phrases from him: "Projectiles are bullshit!" along with a classical "SLASH!" ending.

Seeing a fighting game event with so many eyes watching that predominantly showcased local and regional talent makes me happy. It's why I will always make it out to Texas Showdown and I wish more people could experience an event like this in their regions.
