Hospital drama 5 I was told I will be to a discharged to a rehabilitation facility. Such facilities were shut down a few years ago. Kafkaesque.

Hospital drama continues. Told I am being transferred to a transition ward to prepare for discharge. Arrive in old, airless,hot and smelly hell hole. Beyond being even a tiny bit accepting of situation.

Hospital drama 3 Sunday. Transfer to a gynae ward. No doctor nor physio- bank holiday weekend. Monday. Doctor from medical team. Not under orthopaedic care because surgery is not required. How is a fracture medical and not orthopaedic? At least good nursing care. Tuesday evicted from gynae ward.

Hospital drama 2. Confined to bed in ED cubical. Still in clothes from Friday. No washing facilities. Need to clean teeth. Complete breakdown. Daughter arrives on white charger. Explanation of situation given. Bed bath with hot wipes and change of clothes. No ward beds available.

Wednesday. fell. Hospital. Hip not broken. Discharged with pain relief and a walking frame. Thursday. Great pain. Friday. A&E aka hell on earth. More X-rays. Saturday CAT scan. Result fractured pelvis. To be continued…..
