From perfecting various run and pass blocking schemes, learning higher-level defensive coverages, and even some fundamental work, young future Jaguars had a blast during the first day of the Johnson High middle school football camp on July 28!

The beat is marching on at Johnson High this week as the unmistakable ping of the metronome can only mean one thing – band camp has finally arrived! On July 21, the Johnson Jaguar Band kicked off their 2025 season with the start of full band rehearsals! Way to go, Jaguar Band!

Whether it’s running a well timed route, delivering a timely block or catching some air while making a tackle, numerous aspiring football stars of the future had the chance to improve their skills at the 2025 Lehman Lobos football kids camp!

From perfecting the art of the jump stop to working on their shooting form, aspiring junior Jaguars had a blast at the annual Johnson High girls basketball camp, held earlier this week at the Jungle!

Allez cuisine, Hemphill Elementary! On Feb. 12, a handful of Hemphill Elementary 3rd and 4th grade students became skilled culinary artists for a day when they participated in Hays Child Nutrition's Roving Chef series!

On Feb. 5, Johnson High Athletics celebrated a milestone achievement when 13 Jaguar student-athletes put pen to paper during the spring 2025 National Signing Day event, marking the largest Jaguar signing class in school history! Congratulations to all of our Jaguar signees!

On Feb. 4, the Hays Hawks and Lehman Lobos men's basketball teams squared off in a thrilling contest! While the Lobos had a great start, the Hawks closed with a 67-53 victory that kept Hays (5-6 in 25-5A) in the playoff conversation heading into the final week of the regular season.

On Feb. 6, Hays CISD Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright visited Tobias Elementary School to present Coins of Excellence to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Paraprofessionals Casey Jezisek, Julianna Reyes, Monica Conway and Clara Seitz! Congratulations to all!

On Jan. 31, the Buda Lions Club awarded a combined $28,067.79 in football concession sales to our three comprehensive high schools! Each year, our Buda Lions, who operate the concession stands during varsity Hays CISD home football games, give back 20% of gross concession sales. (1/2)

Lehman Lobo varsity boys gave cross-town rivals - Hays - a run for their money Friday evening, but the Hawks prevailed 54-50.

The 2024-25 swim season is well underway and our Hays CISD aquatic programs have the hit water in stride as they ready for an exciting postseason! On Dec. 6, our Hays CISD swim teams participated in the Hays HS Hawks Fall Flight Festival!
