Half way into my night shifts covering the women's and men's Tour Down Under this year and I think I'm finally on top of things and don't feel utterly exhausted. I do think the prologue starting so much later helped massively.

A nice change in TV coverage at the TDU is that the cameras don't linger on a rider who is clearly in a very bad way after a crash. They saw he was down and very hurt, went to a heli shot and then swiftly moved away with NO replay. Well done to the director 👏

The Arctic Race of Norway is just a much better race. And ASO run it so have a good amount of financial umph already so don't need as much funding. It's a far more enticing project for the government to fund as it is less effort
