Went out for some really good sukiyaki yesterday! I’m happily taking advantage of the perfect excuse of “treating a friend visiting from overseas” to enjoy fancy food myself too 😌🍲

In Japan, there’s a New Year tradition of visiting a shrine and drawing a fortune to test your luck! The fortunes typically come in several ranks, ranging from great blessing to great curse, and I can’t shake the feeling that Al would draw the best one while Luci would end up with the absolute worst

Just finished posting up to the midpoint of the story on AO3, spending New Year’s Day working on my own fic really makes me feel like a true model fangirl

Posted a radioapple fic featuring fountain pen ink this month, currently publishing another one set in Paris where Luci plays the violin and eats canelé, and next up is an OFMD-inspired pirate AU, it’s kind of funny how my personal “reference images” for my own stories just keep piling up

Some of you may know that, in one of my past fics, I had Luci give Al a New Orleans–inspired fountain pen ink as a Christmas gift 🎄🎁☕️ @notherpuppet.bsky.social just did exactly that for me! Thank you, my dear!

I asked my cousin if she could get that popcorn bucket for me, and she immediately went, “Ah, you want it so you can put your radioapple plushies inside and take pictures, right?” YES EXACTLY

I really wanted this Tokyo Disney–exclusive popcorn bucket, so I went to pick it up in the morning, took care of my errands, and then headed out again at night to actually have fun

I'm in the middle of translating another radioapple AU set in a cafe where one of them ACTUALLY works there, and the most fun part by far has been coming up with Cherri's lines, not the main duo's

If you’re looking for a #radioapple Christmas read, I loved “My Dear Morningstar” by @azami-f-f.bsky.social ! It has a very cozy atmosphere and sweet relationship plot 💗 It felt like a Hazbin version of “Before the Coffee Gets Cold” ☕️📚 Perfect reading for a relaxing holiday break ✨

Got coffee beans soaked in apple juice and whisky before roasting ☕️🍎🥃 picked them up during a business trip!

I somehow have many Japanese friends connected to New Orleans; a guitarist who lived there for years, a couple who honeymooned there, and even one who went just to buy wrought-iron balcony railings for his house. I’m overloaded with NOLA info, yet way too busy to visit myself, and that irony hurts 😭

Someone asked if I’d ever write a sequel about the trip to NOLA. I tend to write only about places I’ve actually been to or things I’ve experienced, like a certain someone, so maybe someday, if my boss ever lets me take a straight ten-day vacation and I can make it back to the town again

It’s still very much a work in progress, so it won’t be going up just yet—but this will probably be the next radioapple fic I post on AO3. And I really am terrible at writing summaries (it took an hour)

I only ever write stories I personally want to read, so I’m super positive about my own work… and today, while listening to Mendelssohn’s piano and violin concerto I thought to myself “Wasn’t it absolutely genius of me to decide Al and Luci should play this in an orchestra AU” what a healthy mindset

Finally bought an extra display board this week and got to line up the merch I made in the past with the acrylic stands my friend illustrated for me 📻🍎 Had to leave it half-finished because of a business trip, I just want to get home and keep working on it 🫠

There's a scene where the ballroom dancer tells the latin dancer to try dancing the follower's role just once, leads him into a waltz, holds him close and whispers "Do you feel like a princess?" and at that exact moment I turned to my colleague and said "Okay I want to see Al saying this to Luci"😩

Watched the Netflix film 10DANCE with my colleague today—about two male dancers, a latin dancer and a ballroom dancer, whose rivalry eventually turns into romance, the moment it started she said “I think their dynamic fits radioapple well” and I am not okay since then youtu.be/4iZZGBMlFbc

There’s one more radioapple fanfic I want to write someday: a Carol-inspired AU about a forbidden affair between a wealthy Lucifer on the brink of divorce and a younger Alastor pursuing his dreams. Since Carol is a Christmas film, I’m hoping to finish it sometime before next Christmas 🫠🎄🎁

Romcom Al turning into a mess because of his first crush, obsessive Al who’s been stalking Luci for years, and “Luci fell first but Al fell harder” Al, I’m juggling translations for all three radioapple fics in parallel right now, and it’s a miracle I haven’t mixed everything up yet at this point
