PM Model 1/72 JRB-4 べにばと 完成 PM(パイオニア2)金型らしい細部がアレなキットですが全体的な形は良い感じでした。 翼端の厚いとこ全部削って、mm単位で隙間があく窓を埋めて、パーツの無い排気管とスピナー作って、モールドすら無い眉毛みたいな窓を塗装ででっち上げて……と色々やってますがPMモデルは頑張りが活きるので楽しいですね。

Finished the MENG ornithopter 1/72

The MENG 1/72 ornithopter is slowly getting there. Added inner window frames to hide the shiny plastic edges and tabs. Almost at final weathering, but first I have to do 8 (eight...) wings. Thinking of painting them aluminium, to resemble the transparent wings of dragonflies.

Pleased with the result of the added Atreides logo on the ornithopter tail! I let its wings run over the edge, they will disappear under the roof part. Diagonals are trendy in Dune...

The solo 4x4 Kurogane (1/48) from the earlier build, also the first car I made. Some things I would maybe do differently now, but I still like it. Wasn't happy with the figures though. Too shiny, and I never know what to do with the eyes 😶

The cockpit for the Dune Atreides ornithopter. Used a lot more colours (well, grays) than the manual intended, to make it more 'fighterjetty'. Adding in the figures later. For a reimagining of the ornithopter on a different planet though, their moulded still suits make little sense. Ah well.

My next project! I love Villeneuve's Dune. Going to make up my own colour scheme for this one though. Maybe imagine what they might look like on Caladan.

My Tamiya 1/48 Mitsubishi Ki-46 with 4x4 Kurogane. Lots and lots of canopy to mask. Some decal disaster on the tail wing. I love Tamiya, but why are their decals made of roof tiles?
