Last night's movie: Mr. Smith Even in 1939, Frank Capri's tale of an honest man in DC was a bit of a stretch. That said, the parts about corrupt ultra-rich individuals controlling media, public opinion, and politicians is as true today as it was then. Maybe truer.

Mrs. Lungs got a letter in the mail from a supposed British solicitor who said she may receive money from the estate of a dead Moffitt in England. Not only was the deceased no relative of ours, the letter had a Canadian postmark. 🤔

The free teevee movie channel is showing 2 unusual noir crime dramas, Border Incident and Mystery Street, both starring Ricardo Montalbán. He plays the lead in both films, as a cop. Mystery Street is the proto-CSI, as it focuses on police forensic science. Some grim scenes in both movies.
