Went to see 'Frankenstein' directed by @realgdt.bsky.social at a beautiful independent cinema with my Mum and brother. I was absolutely floored by it, it's such a beautiful film to look at, and a cautionary tale of how a lack of empathy makes the world a worse place.

Winter is nearly here, and I wanted a new winter coat. I decided to customize an N-2B jacket like one in the vastly underrated 'Alien 3' (the assembly cut is Godlike). Though I'm leaving the fur on the hood for practicality and warmth.

I was getting ready to make missing posters for my cat Spike, who decided to have a 14 hour odyssey today. Then the cheeky fucker decided to show up through the cat flap, just as I'd imported my air dropped photos into my template. WTF!!! I'm overjoyed he's safe though.

He looks like death warmed over, then got cold again, then reheated in the microwave.

Arrow Films, the latest additions to my collection. 'Dark City' and 'Narc' I've never seen before.

Having watched '28 Years Later' for the second time, it's even better than the first. Insanely good film.

'28 Years Later' is probably my favourite film released this year, probably on par with 'Warfare'. It's so bold and takes some fantastic risks. More coming of age than a horror flick. Really well made and a beautiful film in every aspect.

I can't believe I'm saying this about a mission impossible film, but I just wanted to walk out and go home. The Submarine bit was really cool though. But the rest left a lot to be desired, in my opinion. Truly bizarre and disappointing.

Maybe I haven't watched enough TV, but 'Andor' is my favourite series since 'True Detective' series 1. Unbelievably good stuff, especially getting older, having the franchise mature along with me is fantastic.

'Andor' episode 8, season 2 is my favourite episode of TV ever. It was like a horror film, like 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'The Terminator' combined. The increasing and never ending despair, leading to the eruption, was unbearable. Dan Gilroy wrote the shit out of this!

Thanks to David Gilmour and Pink Floyd for reproducing the iconic Woody Harrelson T-shirt from True Detective series 1. I've wanted this T-shirt for a decade, and now I've got it! 🥲

Off to see 'Warfare', though I've got anxiety as if I'm seeing a horror film or something, which I guess I am, in a way. Very excited as well though!

Mark Ruffalo's character in 'Mickey 17' is like Trump, JD Vance, Putin and Elon Musk, all rolled up into one parasite of a man. I really liked the film!

Maybe I'm wrong, but this is how I feel about this 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'. I had so much fun, for all of it's problems.

That was a wonderful double bill at the cinema today. Both very dark but have great humor, though one film is more subtle with it than the other. One is an examination of the absurdity of our society and the other, life itself.

If Indiana Jones didn't exist, then 'Munich' would definitely be my favourite Steven Spielberg film, for this scene alone.

'Presence', I thought, was really good. I had a good time at the cinema after work today. It's not a horror film, it's more of a family drama and thriller from the perspective of the ghost. Awesome stuff.
