In Nobody in Particular, Dani, an American, receives a scholarship to a prestigious boarding school in Europe, where she finds herself falling for the country’s crown princess, Rose. I got to read an arc of this and absolutely loved it.

It was never just about schools, it was never just about libraries, and it isn't actually about the books. It's about finding a way to banish entire people, entire ideas, out of society, back into the closet or worse.

A new bill in the Texas Legislature, authored by Rep. Nate Schatzline, would allow businesses to be held liable if a minor reports damages from "obscene" books.

ALA is deeply concerned by reports that IMLS is sending notices to libraries claiming to cancel grants that are required by law. This harmful action will disrupt libraries' ability to serve their communities. Tell Congress to protect library funding:

Fable for the end of the world may be my favorite Ava Reid book yet. This hunger games-like world was a great vehicle for exploring capitalism, corporate greed, and the dangers of running a government like a business. When paired with Reid’s prose, it was a fantastic book all around

Today I read most ardently, a retelling of pride and prejudice with a trans mc. I thought it was really cute and enjoyed it. After finishing that, I started bitter by Akwaeke Emezi. When I’m done with that book, I will read her Majesty’s Royal coven

Hate follow by Megan Quinn-Kong is about a mom-fluencer and her teenage daughter who’s so fed up with being exploited that she sues her mom for violating her privacy and for unpaid labor. It’s dual pov and follows both the mom and daughter. It was a fascinating read and an important topic.
