This has the same basic outline as any scientist-turned-monster movie, and part of the ending makes me think that Fred Sears ripped a bit of the third act for his film 'The Werewolf' in 1956. I'm sure everyone was ripping off one another back then just to get another movie out. Gotta make that $$$

Regional, low-budget horrors like these are such a mixed bag. On one hand, I love the ability to make a film on a shoestring budget. On the other, they're mostly not good. I find it fascinating that a movie like Carnival of Souls escaped this to stand on its own amongst its peers

WW2 bombing-revived vampire isn't how I expected this to kick off. Almost like a pre-atomic age monster movie utilizing the monsters of old. Also funny considering Lugosi's role in 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' a decade later

Dark Water (2002) The absolute misery the rain holds over the characters in this film is superb #horrorsky #jhorror

Enjoyed this way more than 964 Pinocchio. I think having a more narrative structure and not having to fast forward through an entire scene of a character endlessly getting sick helps too. Definitely comes in a close second to Tetsuo in the cyberpunk genre for me

I had a feeling I would enjoy KPop Demons Hunters with the way Golden had been stuck in my head for months. Fun but simple plot, great animation, and even better music. I can see why it took off the way it did
