Regional, low-budget horrors like these are such a mixed bag. On one hand, I love the ability to make a film on a shoestring budget. On the other, they're mostly not good. I find it fascinating that a movie like Carnival of Souls escaped this to stand on its own amongst its peers

WW2 bombing-revived vampire isn't how I expected this to kick off. Almost like a pre-atomic age monster movie utilizing the monsters of old. Also funny considering Lugosi's role in 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' a decade later

Enjoyed this way more than 964 Pinocchio. I think having a more narrative structure and not having to fast forward through an entire scene of a character endlessly getting sick helps too. Definitely comes in a close second to Tetsuo in the cyberpunk genre for me
