I don't think this is going to help push more PS5s off the shelves with how more expensive the console has gotten over time, especially with the Pro model. Sure it means more games to lessen the meme, but that can only so far if people can't afford the console to play them on.

If I had a nickel for every time a revealed game with an animated robot character outlived a live service shooter that was highlighted in the same showcase stream as it, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it will have happened twice come next year right?

I like the game, but it feels a bit weird for Ninja Gaiden 2 to get a re-release on the Switch, when it already got put on the NES Switch Online app relatively recently.

Oh gosh. When I was making the joke about Blur with that one commercial, I didn't mean the game had to fall short under sales expectations too. At least it's sold more than Blur by over half a million, but ngl I do kind of feel bad about this game now, and I say this as someone who didn't buy it.

Just watched the Mario Movie direct. As someone who liked the first Mario movie, I'm rather conflicted about the second movie at the moment. For a movie named after Super Mario Galaxy, it weirdly doesn't feel like a movie based on the events of the game. Heck the new trailer didn't have Rosalina.

I didn't think we'd be at a point where there's the anime equivalent of video game remakes, let alone one for a Dragon Ball arc based on an existing (and honestly a million times better) movie.

Man, this was a rough year. It wasn’t as “bad day after bad day” as 2024 was for me, but those sour moments were pretty high up there in the “make a guy with slow working gears demotivated to work on personal projects” department. Might have even been a little soul crushing at points.

The versions of Sonic 1 and 2 on the Sega Mega Drive Collection for PSP share interesting sound quirks. Not only does the music not speed up when collecting speed sneakers, but the sound effects aren't cancelled out during the extra life jingle.
