My take on @thisdoesnotcompute.bsky.social 's WonderMac project. My version reuses the charging circuit and adds sound support. I use a DC-DC converter to increase the voltage to 5V. And the sound is from a USB DAC. Since it runs on battery, I also reused the floppy part as the power switch.

I have to say I can't tell the difference between “disabled”, “tinted”, and “default” buttons on iOS 26. Everything looks the same and has the same animation.

After being delayed by App review, I've finally decided to release Blossom Launcher out of App Store for free. blossom.megabits.xyz This Mac launcher combines the best of both Launchpad and Spotlight Search. It will remain free to download at least until the end of 2025.

I discussed with my friend “Will you consume AI art as human art if you can't tell the difference.” serval years before. I said no. There is no “meaning of life” in this universe. Everything is meaningless if we don’t have each other. And AI is not one of us.

The G5 suddenly stopped booting up, and it would get stuck indefinitely on the blue screen before the login. All hardware tests passed, and it was able to boot into Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key. Single User Mode also worked normally. It took quite a while to fix it.

The Thinkpad TypeC charger works so well, that I’m using it to charge everything at home. They are cheap, durable, and with TypeC cables built in. Who needs a GaN charger if you can just throw a bunch of these under the desk?

I love these old Maya splash screens so much. They have just the right amount of mystique, which we don't have in modern software.
