I’ve been working on a cross stitch bookmark thing for all the books read in a year. Pattern lets you add up to 100. I read 96 last year. This year, I’ve only read 7 so far. I have the dilemma of doing it for this years books or last years 🤔

I woke up hallucinating my dad shouting for me. I called back “yeah?” before I realised. Last night I asked mum about his beer in the fridge. She said “doesn’t your dad want it?” without thinking. We cried together. We got his death certificate yesterday. It’s official. He’s gone. And I miss him.

At least they’re giving me somewhere to direct all these complicated emotions I guess XD

The GP called with their condolences for the loss of my father and his NHS file is closed, his death certificate is completed a so why the fuck are they texting inviting him to have a shingles vaccine.

So. My dad died on Monday and everything is rubbish. I was going to post something more thoughtful and eloquent but right now, that’s all I’ve got. I want to scream in to the void and so I am doing so~

I didn’t expect to be crying over Danish blue cheese today, but here we are.

So much going on in my life atm but a paramedic being inappropriate towards me and texting me (I did not give him my number, he got it from the emergency services details) was not on my bingo card.

Okay, had tech gremlins, but live now :D We're almost a month in but finally able to stream, and the hospital are letting dad home tomorrow!

Hopefully tomorrow, I'll have a better idea of how things are with dad as the doctors are supposed to be about most of the day. They didn't do rounds today. I'm worried that despite his infection improving, his delirium isn't. Still. Gonna try to stop thinking and go and read \o/

This year has not started off as I'd hoped. My bonus mam passed away just after Christmas and then my dad finally agreed to go to the doctors... only to end up in hospital. Trying to support my mum as best I can but I am overwhelmed and exhausted.

I feel like I'm finally coming out of a bit of a fog. I didn't realise how badly I've been neglecting myself these past few weeks

In the early hours of the morning on the 27th, most of the world was sleeping. Sadly, my “bonus mam” went to sleep for the last time. I’ll carry her with me, wherever I go, but the world is a little darker without her. That woman welcomed me in to her life, her arms, her home, unconditionally.

Cough syrup should always be in a GLASS bottle. You can't change my mind. T_T Yet the two different brands and types of cough syrup I've had the past few days are in PLASTIC BOTTLES and I can not explain how uncomfy it made me xD

Getting really fed up of having nosebleeds

I've been really struggling with my mental wellbeing for the past couple of months and I've hit a lot of resistance with myself in therapy too which isn't helping but it means I'm getting somewhere that is crucial to progress. It still sucks though. It's really hard.

"Taking a break" feels really weird, and it's silly at how guilty I feel for it. Doesn't help that I feel like I'm undoing my progress when I do. I guess because I lose momentum.

I think my room is haunted. I have a vase of yellow roses on a table since Saturday and the vase just… fell over. The roses were scattered on the floor. One of the roses snapped as well and of course everything is now sodden. I was dozing off when the sound startled me. 😧
