My preorder of dinosan volume 7 arrived! As always, I recommend this series to anyone. This volume was definitely more character based than dinosaur centric, exploring many interesting themes. My favourite segment was the trom one. He's a blind Deinonychus! I also loved the little volume extras!

I watched the #chainsawman movie. Couldn't have asked for a better adaptation. Imo it elevates the manga in just about every way, and they definitely added to Reze's character. Additionally, Aki and Angel are totally framed as a second couple for the movie. If you can, definitely see it!

I watched primitive war! Pretty good brain off movie. I went in for action featuring relatively accurate dinosaurs. And despite some shoddy cgi in some areas and a few questionable script choices, I'd say I got it. It'd be nice to see the other books in the franchise adapted.

Caught up with Ruridragon! Top tier slice of life, another of the est things in jump right now. I hope it gets a good anime adaptation at some point, it really deserves one. And there's a lot of segments that would be taken above and beyond by animation

I caught up with the Dan da Dan manga! That latest arc especially was amazing. One of the best things in modern shonen, with comedy that gets better as it goes along. Even just from an art perspective it's crazy fun to look at.

I watched alien earth. When the show was good it gave us some stunning little moments and cool action sequences. I liked the characters, and the plot was pretty alright. But imo it was way too slow early on, and that ending was god awful when the show hasn't been renewed for a second season.

I watched "weapons". I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't that. Definitely go in without knowing anything or watching the trailers like I did. Its definitely worth the surprises it gives you. The ending was so cathartic, but beyond messed up. My biggest complaint was with the jumpscares.

I watched the fan made Legacy Cut of Alien 3- it's a great sendoff for the character of Ripley. It's been years since I saw the theatrical cut, but this version at least is a good sequel to Alien and Aliens. While I'm sad they killed off Newt and Bishop, I like what they did with Ripley.

I've been reading the god of time, a manga about a time stopping watch, as it came out. A good little series that seemed decently planned. I just wish a little more time was given for the ending to settle in. It might have been better with 16 or 17 chapters imo. Definitely worth reading, though.

I watched 2025's superman! Probably one of the better superhero movies, and a great start to the new dc universe. The most unrealistic bit is that the evil narcissistic billionaire got punished at the end. But the whole film was a joy and I look forward to seeing what they do with supergirl next

I watched Alien Worlds, the netflix show about speculative evolution and life on other planets. It's worth a watch, if for nothing else then to see the creative inspiration behind some interesting designs. My favourite episodes were probably the first two- but none of the 4 were bad.

I listened to Evolution Square's Jurassic Legacy, which you can find on YouTube. I wish this was official - it'd easily be one of the best parts of the recent canon. Full of tense moments, cool setpieces, and varying perspectives. Amazing work! My favorite characters were Maggie, Eliot and Jessie!
