Finally started working on this weeks Souleyes-painting. I normally prefer to work on these over the whole week, just quick little 30 minute sessions. But I got sick (inflammation of the middle ear) & don’t feel that good, so this one is pretty late. Trying my best to keep the challenge going 💪

I got some new art supplies (some are still on their way) and hope I can draw more while travelling soon! Thankfully as an watercolour artist I don´t need to carry around much stuff but I am always trying to go even smaller (if possible) with my setup. The little colour palette was a great find!

This weeks #souleyesproject I went a slightly “rougher“ route & didn’t try to put too much details on the scales, instead letting the watercolour do it´s thing & be more flowy. It feels kinda unfinished to me though 😅 Btw, it’s the eye of an leopard gecko! Cute little guys 🥰 #watercolour #aquarelle

After struggling so much to find a name that wasn’t already taken and wracking my brain for a good logo (and learning how to vectorize 💪 ), I finally managed to rebrand this page. My logo had to stay recognizable at small sizes (like Apple or Nike), feel welcoming and have an animal connection. 🧡

#Souleyesproject week 19 is a digital painting. I had a lot to do this week and digital art is more forgiving, so I went with it. What do you think about digital art? Do you think it’s “less worth“ than traditional art? Or maybe superior to it? I do and love both! #digitalart #secretarybird

I didn’t paint with acrylics for quite a while, so this was a nice change. It´s just a cardboard + foam rubber sheet that I painted on. My Mini-PC is placed right at my window & the sheet is supposed to protect it from direct sunlight. I didn’t want it to look ugly,hence the paint #acrylic #artist

To be honest, it’s really frustrating to have to post my art with a big watermark on it (especially because it affects the viewing experience), but I don’t know any other way to prevent art theft. What do other artists do? Uploading in low resolution is another option I’m aware of.
