We should repeal it, but we can also get the government to legislate for birthright citizenship - problem is, none of them will touch it with a barge pole & it isnât a big issue for most people by a long way. It should never have gone to referendum.

Disappointing to see new car parks installed next to Met Ăireann weather station at Shannon Airport. The station is now surrounded by tarmac car parks which is likely to influence the temperature in that area. Time to relocate station to a more open area surely?

Chatbots â LLMs â do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When theyâre ârightâ itâs because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. Thatâs all.

Sinn Fein is back to its default position: trying to deny the Irish Parliamentâs ability to take decisions about Irish foreign policy. No other neutral state offshores its foreign policy to the US, China and Russia. But Sinn Fein is convinced it is the right thing for Ireland. Completely baffling.
