Lincoln is in the middle of a five-day cold wave. Our daily high last Tuesday was 72°F and yesterday was only 21°F. Rapid warmup after Monday but apparently weekends are a problem with colder than normal again next weekend before returning to warmer than normal out thru March 8.

Yesterday's precipitation (melted snow) was 0.40" Lincoln Airport & 0.36" to 0.59" across the city. Snowfall at the airport was 6.3" & from 6.0" to 9.0" across the city. After 7 days with daily highs in the 60s and 70s, temperatures plunged yesterday and Lincoln had a record daily snowfall of 6.3 inches. We live in a region of climate extremes! Winter is expected to stay for only a few days with a high of 55°F forecast by next Tuesday and near 70°F a week from now.
