In a recent survey of Italian adults, 15% said physical attacks on Jewish people are at least somewhat justifiable. It's this climate of antisemitism that leads to real violence, including the terror attack on a Manchester synagogue this Yom Kippur that killed two people.

Last week marked 24 years since the 9/11 attacks, which took the lives of 2,977 people. Still today, antisemitic conspiracy theories blaming Jews and Israel for the tragedy circulate on social media. We must call out these lies and stand united against hate.

Charlie Kirk's assassination last week led to baseless claims that Jews or Israel were behind the attack. As we've seen throughout history and in the online response to other events, scapegoating Jews or Israel is all too often a convenient and hateful response in times of uncertainty.
