Magic system for my Whitebox hack. Well... it's the classic vancian magic, but I just made two tables for light spellcasting and heavy spellcasting characters. This will make designing new classes easier (or adding spellcasting to a character mid-campaign if they got it somehow). #osr #ttrpg

Work on my industrial revolution Whitebox hack is going great! I finished re-writing the rules. What's left is magic, monsters and the game is 100% playable. Yes, attribute checks are added (OSR fans pls don't block me), but I tried keeping them as simple as possible. #ttrpg #osr

We played Shadowdark again yesterday. By sheer luck we managed somehow to reach the "end" of the megadungeon. I'm playing a kobold ranger with a magic sword. Sadly, this may be my least fav OSR or NSR game, but the next session may be our last one anyway. #ttrpg #osr

We played Moonstone for the first time during a board game meet. Really fun and random! One Page Rules is the most popular minis game here, but this will def be our game no. 2 from now on.

We played Grimdark Future today. Space Marines vs Tyranids (SM won) Nurgle vs Orks (Orks won)

New Superman movie is good. No grimdark, no fallen antiheroes, no edgy themes, just full of good and hope. All the heroes are great (Mister Terrific especially!). Lex Luthor here is pure evil, but at the same time you understand his fear and insecurity.

Ok, here's the controversial take: race-as-class is FUN. I was against it many years ago, but when I tried OSE and we just had goblins, elves and deep gnomes, it worked great, bc it made these creatures unique and non-human. An elf wizard in 5e will often be role-played like a human with funny ears.

Is the DnD brand and hype getting weaker? I barely get any 5e topics in my ttrpg feeds. Can't recall the last drama or "play another game" discussion. Personally I know only one group out of several, that run 5e. Yes, I know that DnD still basically has a monopoly in the US, but still...

Demon

One of the reasons I almost completely stopped caring about anime, is because there is an actual chance, that I literally won't live to see peak manga like Jojo and Fist of the North Star get a full adaptation, but stuff like "I reincarnated as my Sister's Armpit in a Dungeon!??" gets season 3.

God I REALLY want to like Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, but I hate the fact that the only way to finish the game stress free is to abuse bugs and glitches. Playing as a Malkavian with sneaking and charm is impossible due to the forced fights.

Warhammer: The Old World looks fine, as long as it gets support. This is def the most "modern" an easiest way to run adventures in the Old World. There is also a lot of surprising mini-rules and tables, like running a farm or spending money on a local temple. #ttrpg

I'm trying to read the Swyver TTRPG. The whole thing is written either in cockney or UK slang. This stumped me, can any UK ttrpg bloke explain me what this means?

Finished: Silva Saga on the SNES. Fan translation. Very pretty cover, but uh... not the best game. The story kinda sucks, a lot of mechanics and design choices do not make sense. Also, if you played some jRPGs, the game is very easy till the very end. Bosses are a joke.

I bought the Retroid Flip 2 and Im gonna be honest, its really damn great. This little beast runs games up to the Switch and even can emulate modern PC games. The oled screen also makes old games look great. Currently i'm playing some old jRPGs.

Ok, the rules aren't THAT hard (but character creation takes ages). Some very fun ideas here... except the childbirth rules 💀 these will be ignored in my potential campaign.

Age of Vikings from Chaosium looks exactly like something I wanted to run for years, but didn't have the system for it. A lot of "Viking" ttrpgs are stuff like "techno dark death metal cyber fantasy" or very indie. This has a large rulebook, runs on BRP and is pretty grounded. #ttrpg

I keep seeing these videos of scalpers in the US plundering stores out of Pokemon TCG boxes and I wonder, has anyone of these people actually made decent money from this? Or they just buy random boxes expecting to cash appear?

First days after registering my Fantasy Club at my district office. My Facebook is spammed with scams pretending to be Meta workers. There is no way to report this msgs as a FB page. After reporting the profile, which PRETENDS to be a Meta worker, I get a response, that they don't see a problem X)

Lex Arcana is a fantastic #ttrpg, and man... the French cover for the game (right) that I just saw, is just amazing.

New purchase - BpnB I usually stay away from "Mork" games, as they are hard to read and the rules are too primitive. But this is less of an artbook, and more ttrpg (170+ pages). The setting is basically alt-history Germany, with demons, beasts and the war between puritans and the orthodox church.

My B/X leveling house-rule. Whenever a character gains a level, they choose one: 🧠 I'm getting smarter: the character improves 2 Attribute scores by 1, and gets +1/2 their HD to their max HP. 💪 I'm getting tougher: the character improves their HP by their MAX HD. #ttrpg #osr
