Anybody using "micro-tasks" in Claude Code? It's a term I started using in my prompts recently and it helps to keep Claude Code focused on small, iterative changes, instead of trying to make massive changes at the same time.

Current Status: Living Dangerously in Claude Code

[1/3] I'm starting the new project today with Claude Code. I'm approaching this differently than the first project. This time, I'm asking it to review each milestone and ask me questions before proceeding.

My youngest has this game he likes to play called (I’m assuming) “oops I fell down” - he lifts his arm up to be helped up only to, oops, fall down again and repeat until he gets bored of it. 😁

So I decided not to finish up the project that I started on Saturday. While it’s a really interesting and fun project, it is way too complicated and would have taken quite a bit of time to get it to the finish line.

Gave Claude Code a detailed implementation plan with clear docs and references, and it still couldn’t build the app end to end, even in the best-case using frameworks and libraries that LLMs handle best. Even though others post one shot apps, AI coding tools are still just productivity multipliers.

This weekend's project: Use Claude Code to make one application a day, from zero to fully implemented, trusting Claude Code to fully implement, test, and fix any bugs. At the end of each day, see what gaps (major or minor) exist within the project and how close it truly is to "production readiness".

I've been testing the new Wispr Flow keyboard for iPhone over the last couple of days, and while it definitely has a unique way of enabling and disabling (I'm assuming has something to do with getting the audio through to their system), it works great. I find myself using it more and more.

I was using ChatGPT deep research to look into one of the crazy ideas that occasionally pops into my head. It came back after looking at 115 different sources. That might be a new record for me on the amount of sources that deep research has collected during a run.

One little “hack” I use with Cursor when it goes on a refactor spree is to tell it to get the file from the last commit and restore functionality. Generally works pretty well.
