So dinner was cool. It's something else to speak with your "elders* when you, yourself are in your 50s. We talked about politics, finances, kids and in a few cases grandkids college expenses, etc. Then my 3rd eldest aunt, who was in the same position I was in before she retired.. All about AI.

What are your comfort games? Sometimes it seems like the past couple years, I only ever played 4 games. But I promise I played a few more. But I've "beaten" these at least 20 times a piece.

Looking at my Steam Rewind; there's a 3 month gap where I didn't play any video games & 3 months where I only played FO4. Making good on my promise to not buy new games day & date ever again. But the promise of hitting the backlog always just ends up "Play FO4 for another 400 hrs."

As a life long fan of the series & offshoots (Except the MMOs.. I quit MMOs after decades with Ultima, EQ, WOW, Guild Wars, Lineage and Neverwinter), I gave up on the series after XVI. Got to Garuda & noped myself out. Already started disliking it since XIII, but XV and XVI killed the series for me.

I realized the video game industry is not my ideal field of work, although I love video games themselves because of 2 things. I hated my time at Take 2. I didn't like going to video game events, but I did it because work required it. Unlimited refills when you bring their mug was great.
