15 years ago today we ran our first workshop. A photowalk around the city centre, since then we have built 4 darkrooms, ran hundreds of workshops, processed over 1000 films and eaten our weight in biscuits 🙂

Just a heads up that we'll be closed for two weeks over Christmas, the 24th and 31st December, and we'll be back open on the 7th January 2026!

@lcbdepot are going to have a Shop for a few weeks, and we're in it, with a load of other super artists. We have prints and posters for sale, so come along and see what's what. Opens this Friday.

New York based artist, Cindy Sherman, is famous for her photographs of women in which she is not only the photographer, but also the subject. She has contributed her own footage to the programme by recording her studio and herself at work with her Hi-8 video camera.

This months film is short National Geographic documentary 'The Last Roll of Kodachrome' - a poignant documentary that follows legendary photographer Steve McCurry as he captures the final roll of Kodachrome film ever produced.

Ilford name registered: The company that would become Ilford was founded in 1879 by Alfred Hugh Harman as Britannia Works and renamed Britannia Works Company Limitedin December 1891. The company was based in the town of Ilford, and was initially making photographic plates.
