i have such mixed feelings about the government funding religious schools in the netherlands. generally not a fan of religious schooling, but the fact that it's state funded means there's a degree of control and (in theory) oversight so that these schools don't spin out into an alternative reality

switching from philosophy to law has been good in some ways. we're being asked things like "could belgium deport the canadian dad of the wife of an eu citizen for reasons x y or z" rather than "what if an arts collective dedicated to epistemic hoaxes lied to you about a statue being red"
