Without need, ICE teargassed a crowd in PDX this afternoon. The Portland Police had closed of the street in front of the ICE Fortress. People from a march had gathered there. A group of people crossed the blue line. ICE responded with volleys of teargas. The resulting cloud covered several blocks.

Sort of an active afternoon at the PDX ICE Fortress. The ICE agents are back in full force. Up on the roof and everything. The DHS cop below had FAFO on her helmet as a means of de-escalation.... And those two anarchist kids and their wild anarchist ideas...

Down at the PDX ICE Fortress today, a car pulled up and let a young woman out. She went in the building and came out a couple minutes later in tears, got back in the car, and left. A half-hour later the GEO Group van pulled out. Two drivers, one detainee. Off to Tacoma.

Sort of ironic that ICE has provoked America into having a long hot winter...

The memo telling ICE they only need administrative warrants to break into residences is a betrayal of America. The person responsible for it (who, no doubt, has the initials "Stephen F'ing Miller") should be prosecuted. The agency that operated by these clearly illegal orders must be abolished.
