It’s officially winter, Colorado!

This isn’t a game. These are people’s lives. Coloradans are trying to rebuild their lives after fires and floods destroyed homes and communities across our state. Trump’s decision to reject our disaster requests and withhold resources as our communities continue to recover is unacceptable.

We just left the ICE facility in Aurora where we met with two young sisters who are seeking asylum and being held there. Here’s my readout on the cruelty we witnessed today:

Trump is a vengeful bully, and he’s taking it out on Colorado. Dismantling NCAR and canceling millions in transportation and energy grants is indefensible – and we won’t stand by and watch it happen.

Jeanette has been detained for nine months without a bond hearing until today.  ICE cannot continue to throw due process to the wind.

Certainly, if there was nothing wrong or illegal, releasing the video would just clear it up for everyone. Right?
